Climbing the mountain at Crystal Cruises
Crystal Cruises announced an expanded enrichment program as well as a new adventure to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
The enrichment programs include an expansion of the Computer University@Sea program with an expanded curriculum taught by a college professor.
Guests on segments receive continuing education credits for the courses that include a new Memoir Writing class taught by journalist Joe Kita. There are also new jewelry making classes and workshops on theatre.
The new Kilimanjaro offering next March will be available in both pre- and post-cruise trips. Participants will hike an average of six to eight hours a day to reach the 19,340-foot level of Uhuru Peak, the highest mountain in Africa.
Crystal says participants will have to make an “extreme commitment” in advanced training.
