Clooney, Gerber partners in new Vegas casino resort

Actor George Clooney and businessman Rande Gerber have lent their names to team up with real estate developers in the creation of Las Ramblas, a world-class hotel and casino complex in Las Vegas.

The $3 billion project will be the largest residential project in Las Vegas.

The project on 25 acres just off the strip will have 11 towers with a luxury hotel, luxury homes, a spa and health club, nightlife, upscale dining and shopping. There will also be an upscale casino.

Construction is set to start next year.

Partners are in the project are Related Las Vegas and Central Properties.

Mr. Gerber, owner of After Midnight, is a well-known businessman.

Said actor George Clooney:

“We’re clearly putting more than just our names to this project  —  we’re investing financially and creatively to develop an idyllic environment that reflects our personal tastes and interests and where we can relax with our friends who also love this town.”
