Club Med appoints new head of trade sales

Saturday, 18 Jan, 2018 0

Club Med has created a new position of head of sales – trade and MICE for the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia.

The position has been filed by Armand Guillemot, who was previously head of sales for meetings and events.

In his new role, Guillemot will replace Yann Richard, who has left the company after nine years.

Club Med said it had seen a 35% year-on-year rise in indirect sales across summer and winter bookings.

"These growth figures are in line with the increased trend for more travel agents booking leisure groups," it said in a statement. "This new structure from Club Med will ensure that it continues to be a customer centric organisation, providing a superior service to agents."

Guillemot has been with Club Med for over three years and previously held roles at World Wide Events and Great Hotels of the World.
