Club Med Nusa Dua relaunches

Club Med has revived and relaunched its luxurious Balinese resort to the Australian media and travel industry, inviting around 50 travel agents and reporters from across the country to share in an informative educational to update and inspire stakeholders from across Asia and the Pacific.

Club Med President and CEO for Asia Pacific, Joel Tiphonnet, headlined the relaunch event which attracted almost 250 industry and travel agent guests from nine different countries including Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Taiwan.

Australia’s local representative and Club Med General Manager, Heidi Kunkel, said the Club Med Nusa Dua relaunch was a great success, increasing awareness for the village while building general confidence and providing fresh reasons for travellers to revisit the destination in 2006.

“A first hand Club Med Nusa Dua experience and open forum was the most effective way we could think of to demonstrate our unique strengths and exceptional experiences while encouraging industry partners back to Bali from our primary Asia Pacific feeder markets,” said Ms Kunkel.

“Club Med’s relaunch in Bali has been a great motivator. What has emerged is a new – or at least newly enthused – group of ambassadors who can now confidently spread the word with fresh insight and knowledge regarding Club Med Nusa Dua’s exciting new product additions, strategies, and refurbishment plans for 2006/07.”

Ms Kunkel joined other general managers from Asia to lead country specific agent and media workshops designed to support Club Med Nusa Dua’ official international press conference, addressed by Joel Tiphonnet.

“We are constantly reinventing the magic formula for happiness and strive to provide the best possible experience by expanding the wealth of leisure opportunities made available to every guest at every village,” said Mr Tiphonnet.

“Today Club Med  offers even greater levels of comfort and sophistication in some of the most idyllic settings and Bali is one such offering where our signature all-inclusive vacations combine fun, camaraderie, fine dining and pure relaxation amidst a rich tapestry of local culture.
