CoGoJets Press Release

Monday, 22 Dec, 2008 0

Omaha, Neb. – With just a few clicks, savvy air travelers will soon leave behind long lines, flight delays and cancellations
by arranging their own, shared use of a private jet. CoGoJets has created a new online, member-based, social networking
website for business and leisure air travelers to coordinate their itineraries and experience the advantages of a private jet,
one seat at a time.
CoGoJets members can negotiate their desired flight date, time and seats with other members at www.CoGoJets.com. Once
mutually agreeable flight terms are met, members collectively book a private jet together and split the expense based upon
their pro rata share for the seats they occupy. By doing so, members are able to share flights, fill empty seats and save up
to 50–90 percent off the retail cost of private jet travel. CoGoJets members can start connecting and booking flights through
www.CoGoJets.com effective December 2, 2008.
In addition to providing a tool to cut private jet travel costs, CoGoJets also offers its members a way to offset their flight’s
carbon footprint. Members can voluntarily donate to the CoGoEco Program, on an individual flight basis, through a Flight
Carbon Calculator built into the website. All proceeds go to Sustainable Travel Internationalâ„¢, a nonprofit organization
committed to reducing the global environmental impact of travel and tourism.
“Even clients who can easily afford to fly private have been asking for a shared flight program. And after seeing halfempty
aircraft fly all over the U.S. every day, I saw an opportunity to provide a more fiscally minded and environmentally
responsible means of private jet travel,” said Jamie Walker, CoGoJets founder and CEO. “All people need is a place to meet
and coordinate before booking a jet. CoGoJets provides the place and the online tools to align people’s travel schedules.”
CoGoJets is offering founding memberships for $500, an 80% discount off the annual membership fee of $2,500. Members
have access to CoGoJets’ nationwide database of members available to share Light Jet, Midsize Jet and Heavy Jet flights.
“CoGoJets combines the social networking aspects of a Facebook® and the negotiating characteristics of an eBay® to connect
a whole new private jet set,” Walker said.
Visit the CoGoJets online press page for photos, fact sheets and other press materials at www.CoGoJets.com/presskit.
