Comtec gains US foothold with Vacation.com
UK travel technology supplier Comtec has made its first move into North America in conjunction with leisure holiday organisation Vacation.com.
Vacation.com is a marketing services organisation serving a network of more than 5,700 agencies in the US and Canada – accounting for almost 30% of all agencies in the two countries.
The agreement between the two companies will see Comtec partnering with Vacation.com to explore online brand presence, operating systems and back office solutions.
Comtec CEO Simon Powell said: “We are very excited about entering the North American market with a company possessing the prestige of Vacation.com.We see this as a natural extension of the systems that we have developed for many of the leading leisure travel agents in the UK marketplace.”
