Consolidator opens holidays arm
Flight consolidator Teleticket is launching a trade-focussed holidays arm offering packages of flights and accommodation.
The company is initially featuring accommodation in Tenerife, Arrecife, Las Palmas, Dalaman, Paphos and Heraklion.
Teleticket Holidays is offering agents a minimum of 10% commission, a direct dial phone number to its consultants as well as access to special offers.
Manager Paul Kilcoyne said: “We understand that to launch a new travel product in the current climate is a challenging and bold move, but this is solidly based on what the agents want.
”We undertook some research amongst the trade and discovered that we could enhance our current flight offering.
“Our agents told us that in addition to our existing great value fares, there was a strong demand to package our flights with accommodation.
“So we have launched Teleticket Holidays as a direct result of listening to the trade.
“For the agents the additional protection of our ATOL makes the whole package easier to sell.”
The company will also be offering free of charge name changes for bookings outside four weeks of departure, free of charge amendments on bookings outside eight weeks of departure and free baggage allowance.
Kilcoyne added: “To demonstrate how we appreciate the tough times facing agents and to show we understand the worries the holidaymakers may face we have also introduced free redundancy protection.
“We believe this will help agents make more flights and nights bookings.”
