Cosmos director leaves
Cosmos sales and distribution director Andy Washington is leaving to take up a new role.
Washington said he could not disclose his new role until next week, but confirmed that he would remain in the travel sector and would not be relocating.
“This is a new opportunity for me, but I wish everyone here all the best. It’s a great company and a great team.”
Stuart Jackson, Cosmos product and commercial director, is to have his remit broadened to take on responsibility for the Group Tour Operations’ trade relations in addition to his current role which includes managing director for somewhere2stay.
Cosmos said a further announcement regarding a restructure of the sales and distribution department under Jackson will be made shortly.
Paul Jolliffe, managing director Group Tour Operations said: “Andy has been integral to the growth of sales for all brands through the travel trade and he leaves behind a very experienced and dedicated team that will take these successes forward with our trade partners.
“We wish Andy well for the future and thank him for his tremendous efforts and loyalty to the business.”
Andy joined Cosmos in 2001 and was appointed to his current role in 2004 with responsibility for the Cosmos, Avro, somewhere2stay and Cosmos Tourama brands.
