Cosslett named head of InterContinental
The Board of InterContinental Hotels Group PLC (IHG) announced the appointment of Andrew Cosslett as Chief Executive. He will take his post no later than mid-March of next year.
Mr Andrew was formerly with Cadbury Schweppes, where he was president in Europe, the Middle East and Africa for two years. He has held other senior positions with Cadbury since 1990, including managing director of Great Britain and Ireland.
He previously worked in brand marketing at Unilever PLC from 1979 to 1990.
InterContinental Hotels Group PLC of the United Kingdom is the world’s most global hotel company and has the largest number of rooms.
InterContinental Hotels Group franchises, manages, leases or owns, through various subsidiaries, more than 3,500 hotels and 536,000 guest rooms in nearly 100 countries and territories around the world.
