Costa Cruises’ new 3,780-passenger vessel is to be named Costa Serena.
Construction of the 122,000-ton ship, which is due to enter service in May 2007, has started in Genoa.
Costa Serena will be the sister ship to Costa Concordia which is due for delivery next July. The construction of both vessels is costing the Italian line 1 billion euros.
