Sunday, 19 Jan, 2012 0

Beginning April 23 this year, Costa Rica will debut as the New Summit Venue for the 2012. The event is the prestigious gathering of professionals from the Medical Travel industry at the capital, San Jose, which will play host to the Medical Travel Summit, 2012 edition.

Promoted by country’s premier Medical promotion body- The Council for the International Promotion of Costa Rica Medicine (PROMED) — the summit will be held at the Capital’s exclusive Escazu Real Intercontinental Hotel.

Costa Rica Tourism Board has been at the helm of this event, showcasing the countries various locales as dream destinations for Summits, Meetings and Conferences for international and national participants and events. Though, 2011 was a great year for Costa Rica as the perfect host country for international conferences etc, and saw close to 500 visitors from diverse destinations, "15 nations of Europe, Caribbean, Latin America, Asia, and North America," says the Executive Director of PROMED.

The government of Costa Rica hopes to showcase its country’s capability to international community across various genres and the Medical Travel Summit proves to be just the right launch pad to show the availability of the perfect ecosystem to conduct international level conferences and meetings.

Topping the lists of advantages available for businesses small and big at Costa Rica are the excellent infrastructure-top of the line, sophisticated communications network, proactive internet connectivity and well organized competitively priced transport.

The Medical Tourism Summit helps the country display its infrastructural prowess. The summit will prove to be the ideal platform for Medical professionals to network, forge new concepts in medical travel and encourage long term relationships. It also gives an opportunity for native workers to explore and experience first-hand the travel industry and in particular Medical tourism segment.

Costa Rica with its excellent mix of nightlife, fun, dining and shopping will offer national and international delegates to any meeting, conference or Summit a truly international experience and leave them wanting for more memorable trips to this fantastic country!
