Costes and Cadogan join forces for Chelsea hotel
The man behind the trendy Hotel Costes in Paris is joining forces with London property company Cadogan to open a hotel in Chelsea.
Hotelier Jean-Louis Costes will help renovate residential apartments on the Cadogan Estate into a hotel named after its prestigious address, One Sloane Gardens.
Cadogan CEO Hugh Seaborn said "It was crucial for us not only to find the best possible partner in terms of experience and skill, but someone who shares our passion for creating a destination that is truly exceptional and inspiring."
The hotel is due to open in 2016 and will become the fourth hotel in the Cadogan Estate, which spans 93 acres of Chelsea and Knightsbridge.
The Cadogan family also has No. 11 Cadogan Gardens, The Sloane Club and The Belmond Cadogan Hotel.
The Belmond Cadogan Hotel is currently undergoing a £28m renovation after Cadogan bought in Belmond to manage it. Belmond, formerly Orient-Express Hotels, plans to re-open the hotel next summer.
