Cottages to Castles launches agent incentive
Italy and Croatia specialist Cottages to Castles is offering agents an extra £20 per booking on all Italy property rentals this year.
The operator said the move was a direct response to Thomson’s decision to stop selling through selected independent agents and further slash commission with others.
The £20 incentive even applies to peak July and August bookings and any duration or property. Commission levels, which are usually 15%, are unaffected.
Sales manager Gerry Smith said: “Now has to be the time for all agents to actively look for alternative operators to Italy and I invite other independent agents to join Sue Foxall of Kinver Travel when she says that, ‘We have been having a much better time without them and making more money because we are not booking Thomson’. With this incentive we want to remind agents that there is life after Thomson Villas, Citalia, Magic of Italy and Simply Travel.”
Cottages to Castles’ core business is property rentals but the company also offer up to 2,000 hotels in 200 locations throughout Italy.
