Crowne Plaza brand expanding in Vietnam
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has inked a management agreement to expand its Crowne Plaza brand in Vietnam.
The agreement with Minh Dong Travel Service, part of the PGT Group, will see the 300-room Crowne Plaza Danang Waterfront open in 2023.
Overlooking the beachfront, the hotel is located just a five-minute drive from downtown Danang.
It will feature a rooftop infinity pool, complete with sea views, three restaurants, a gym and spa, and meetings space.
"It’s fantastic to be growing one of the world’s largest upscale brands, Crowne Plaza, in central Vietnam. We are delighted to be partnering with PGT Group, who have extensive experience in the Danang and Hoi An area," said Serena Lim, Vice President, Development for IHG, Southeast Asia and Korea.
The new property will complement the existing low-rise Crowne Plaza Danang, which is located further south along the beachfront.
IHG has 14 hotels in operation in Vietnam under the Six Senses, Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza, and Holiday Inn brands.
