Cruise company completes new sales team
P&O Cruises and Cunard have completed a new sales leadership team with the appointment of Shane Riley as director of retail partnerships and Nathaniel Sherborne as director of national partnerships.
Riley and Sherborne join Natasha Richardson, director of sales operations, whose appointment was announced in December.
Together they will make up the sales leadership team under vice president of sales Alex White.
White said: "The vision is to have an industry-leading sales team to drive growth and profitability and I’m confident with the appointment of the senior leadership team we have the knowledge, experience, relationships and drive to excel beyond this.
"Both appointments will give greater distinction between retail and national accounts, providing vision, direction and leadership to the sales team to develop and implement a separate UK retail sales strategy and a national travel agents partnerships sales strategy, with regional support."
As director of retail partnerships Riley will be responsible for the multiple and miniple retail partners while Sherborne will be accountable for the national agent partners such as online travel agents, call centres, cruise specialists and tour operators.
White said: "The support structures will enable partners to become fully engaged with both brands to retain existing business while growing P&O Cruises and Cunard’s customer base."
Riley joined Carnival UK in 2010 as regional sales manager prior to being promoted to sales manager within the newly created Princess Cruises UK sales team in 2013.
Sherborne joined Carnival UK in 2007 on the commercial graduate scheme and was most recently senior sales manager with responsibility for new business and on board sales.
