Cruise line drops Bahrain
MSC Cruises has dropped Bahrain from its autumn cruise schedule due to ongoing unrest in the island kingdom.
Instead, cruises will stop at the Emirate state of Ras al-Khaimah throughout the 2011/2012 season.
The cruise line has also dropped calls at Alexandria in Egypt and Tunis for the whole of the winter.
The MSC Lirica will be based in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from the autumn, with eight-day cruises of the Arabian Gulf departing every week from October, calling at Muscat in Oman and Al Fujairah as well as Ras al-Khaimah.
