Cruise lines offer agent bonus

P&O Cruises and Cunard Line are offering additional commission for cruises sold during the summer promotion.

The cruise lines are offering 6% additional bonus commission on P&O Cruises Select Price and Cunard Fare holidays as part of its summer promotions.

Sales of Early Saver holidays across both brands will also earn an extra 3% commission.

P&O’s Great Sail Away runs from July to the end of August, while Cunard’s summer sale runs throughout July.

Sales and distribution support director Chris Truscott said: "In our Agent Matters research the ongoing issue is always commission and our Great Sail Away and Summer Sale address this by giving travel agents the opportunity to support a huge variety of autumn breaks, winter sun and spring holidays.

"This is yet another example of our commitment and investment into agents, our most important distribution channel.

"Agents have asked for more opportunities to see our ships and these prizes fit the bill with money can’t buy experiences."

In addition to commission, all eligible bookings earn agents a place into a prize draw to win prizes, including:

•           One of 300 cabins for an agent plus a friend on a two-night celebration sailing on P&O Cruises new ship Britannia next March.

•           Five ‘Golden Suitcases’ with up to £5,000 of prizes which will be drawn at a special event in Southampton in September.

•           With Cunard, one of five transatlantic voyages for an agent plus a companion, staying in a balcony stateroom aboard Queen Mary 2 and including a two night stay in a five-star hotel in New York.
