A dedicated division has been established in the UK by Royal Caribbean International and sister line Celebrity Cruises to attract more conference and incentive business.

Former Hertz national account manager Dean Mitchell has been recruited to oversee the new conference and incentive/specialist groups department in the role of UK and Ireland business development manager.

A new corporate section of the www.royalcaribbean.co.uk website has been created together with an interactive CD-ROM for both agents and potential clients.

Leslie Peden, sales director for the two lines, said: “In order to strengthen our position within an ever competitive marketplace we have streamlined the entire process from enquiry to cruise, thus maximising the experience of our team in order to meet the demands of the conference and incentive market.”

Mr Mitchell is supported by specialist sales operations executive Nicki Lewis.
