Cruise the world for £94 a day
P&O claims to be offering world cruises at the equivalent of £94 a day in a new brochure out tomorrow (Sept 1).
The line’s World Voyages 2005-06 brochure offers three itineraries covering 90 different destinations from Southampton.
Prices start at £7,534 per person – £94 a day – based on two people sharing an inside cabin on an 80-night world cruise on Aurora departing in January 2006, including early booking discount.
The brochure also features a 100-night grand voyage on Oriana, also departing in January 2006, for £8,733 and a 110-night itinerary costing £9,486 from October 2005 on Artemis, which joins the P&O fleet next year.
The company is offering the option to join the ships for part of each voyage with six smaler itineraries leading in at £4,041.
P&O Cruises commercial director Nigel Esdale said: “World cruises are becoming increasing popular as well as representing a significant opportunity for agents to earn commission, due to their high ticket price.
“These days it is not just experienced cruise passengers that book world voyages an agents may wish to suggest this option to customers who want to seethe world but have not necessarily considered a cruise.”
