Cruising, soap opera style
There’s been no end of soap operas when it comes to cruising such as the travails of the stranded Carnival ship Splendor but as it turns out, there’s a real-life version: soap opera stars and a TV celebrity line-up is set for next January aboard Celebrity Century.
Sixteen of daytime’s most famous soap actors will participate including stars from such popular programs as “All My Children” and “General Hospital.”
“Soap Cruise is the most anticipated event of the year for soap enthusiasts,” said Michael Gold, President of Celebrity Events Group.
“Fans will have plenty of opportunities to experience up close and personal interaction with their favorite soap star,” according to a news release. “ Not only will there be hugs, autographs and picture-taking, but fans will enjoy partying, dancing and relaxing with their soap idols in the sunny Caribbean. “
The cruise will sail from Miami to Key West and Cozumel.
The Soap Cruise Fourth Voyage leaves Jan. 27th through Jan. 31st.
Prices begin at US$925 (based on double occupancy) not including gratuities. For family members not participating in Soap Cruise events, prices begin at $475. Valid passports are required.
