Crystal does Thanksgiving with Brazil Wine and Food Cruise
Crystal’s fall Brazil Wine and Food Cruise will feature more programming and more guests chef dinners than ever before, including two seven-course Vintage Room Dinners.
Sailing from Miami to Rio on November 23, the cruise will stop at six Brazilian ports and two Caribbean islands, plus an overnight in Rio de Janeiro.
Onboard will be expert chefs Hans Neuner, Portugal’s 2012 Chef of the Year; Rob Wilson, Master/Executive Chef at the Montage Laguna Beach; Master Mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim; and wine historian Nina Wemyss.
There will be outdoor cooking demonstrations, at which Neuner will showcase his "odern, art-meets-technology approach to the Portuguese flavors that have influenced traditional Brazilian cuisine, like bacalhau," hands-on cooking classes in the galley, hands-on cocktail-crafting sessions, and tastings of South American wines.
And of course there will be an American Thanksgiving dinner, with butternut squash soup drizzled with pumpkin seed oil; maple-brined, roasted turkey with chestnut, wild mushroom & raisin dressing; and homemade pumpkin ice cream with bourbon-vanilla sauce.
There is a 16-day cruise or a shorter 12-day "Getaway" version from Barbados to Rio.
