Crystal River Cruises names new MD
Phillip Ordever has switched from vice president of international sales and marketing at Crystal Cruises to vice president and managing director for Crystal River Cruises.
He will be responsible for developing strategy and managing the key sales and marketing functions for the new brand extension, said the cruise line.
Travel industry veteran Helen Beck, previously with Royal Caribbean, will take over as vice president of international sales and marketing on February 2.
Ordever will report to both Thomas Mazloum, chief operating officer, and Carmen Roig, senior vice president of marketing and sales.
He will be based in Amsterdam at the operational headquarters for Crystal River Cruise.
"In his 12 years with Crystal, Phillip has had great success in his business initiatives and I am confident that he will excel in this significant role for the highly anticipated Crystal River Cruises," said Crystal CEO and president, Edie Rodriguez.
"We are also grateful to have such a talented individual as Helen lead our international sales and marketing efforts. Her expertise in this field will be invaluable as we launch our new luxury travel experiences."
Beck will report directly to Roig and be based in the UK.
