Crystal says new exercise program is industry first
They already have yoga and Pilates, so why not Kinesis?
Crystal Cruises says its new exercise program on board the Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity is an “industry first.†Kinesis uses cable resistance in movement to increase fitness, strength, flexibility and balance.
“Cable-based equipment can product twice the fitness results as single plane exercises,†says the cruise line, quoting The Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research.
There are 250 types of exercises with Kinesis.
Crystal is heavily promoting its fitness programs with fitness directors reporting a 77% increase in personal training on its two ships in the last year.
“The Feng Shui-inspired Crystal spas have won several coveted travel industry awards,†the cruise line says.
The Kinesis personal training sessions will cost $100 an hour.
