Cypress blooms again
Cypress Gardens, one of Florida’s oldest theme parks, is back.
The park was a hit in the 1950s but went RIP in 2003.
Well before Disney and Universal, it was known for its lush native plants, water ski shows and young women dressed as Southern belles.
Kent Buescher bought the park and spent $45 million on four roller coasters and 34 other rides.
He said the plan is to combine the park’s old attractions such as water skiing with newer ones such as thrill rides. The park also features a butterfly garden.
