Date announced for Vivid Sydney 2026
Vivid Sydney organisers say the event has now surpassed 25 million visitors since it was launched in 2009, generating a total of over $1.3 billion in spending.
It has announced the dates for 2026, returning from Friday 22 May to Saturday 13 June 2026.
It will again transform the Harbour City in light, music, ideas and food.
Destination NSW is now seeking ideas from producers and innovators for the 2026 event.
NSW Government Minister for Jobs and Tourism, Steve Kamper said: “The overwhelming response to Vivid Sydney 2025 sends a clear message that this festival remains a powerful driver of creativity, culture and economic impact.”
“Vivid Sydney doesn’t just light up our streets – it solidifies Sydney’s standing as a leading global cultural capital.”
“We’re now calling on the next wave of creatives to help shape Vivid Sydney 2026.”
Major partners at this year’s event were Samsung Electronics Australia and Kia.
Official partners included Estée Lauder, and Airbnb was once again Vivid Sydney’s community partner.
