Deadly shooting at Florida fright fest

A popular Florida festival turned to horror after gunfire broke out killing one person and injuring five others.
 
Thousands of frightened people who turned out the for Zombicon festival in Fort Myers fled for cover when the shooting started just before midnight on Saturday.
 
The annual event, staged about two weeks before Halloween, brings zombie-themed activities, including music and performance artists, to the streets of Fort Myers, according to its website.
 
The event was expected to draw 20,000 adults and children.
 
Event organizers said on Facebook they were ‘deeply saddened by the news of what happened within the footprint of our event’.
 
Tyrell Taylor, aged 20, was fatally shot, said Fort Myers Police Lt. Victor Medico.
 
Medico also appealed to revellers for any information to help identify the shooter.
 
"There were a lot of witnesses down here and there were a lot of people taking pictures, videos with their cellphones. Anything that could help with this investigation would be greatly appreciated."
