Delta Air Lines launching new route to Osaka, Japan from Seattle
Delta Air Lines will launch a new route to Asia linking Seattle with Osaka, Japan.
It will become Delta’s second route to Osaka Kansai Airport and will be flown on three-class Boeing 767-300ER aircraft with 225 seats.
Delta also offers daily service from Osaka to Honolulu.
The flight will launch in 2019 and is in partnership with Korean Air as part of the airlines’ transpacific JV.
"As Seattle’s global airline, Delta offers service to the top destinations throughout Asia, and additional access to Japan is important for our Seattle customers as well as the business community throughout Washington state and beyond," said Tony Gonchar, Delta’s vice president — Seattle.
Full launch date details and timings will be announced soon.
Korean Air serves several destinations in Japan, allowing the airlines to streamline their flight schedules.
Delta offers more than 170 departures to over 50 destinations from its Seattle hub, including Beijing, Seoul, and Tokyo.
