Delta passengers hospitalized after severe air turbulence
A severe air turbulence incident landed 11 passengers and crew in hospital.
The Delta Air Lines Milan-Atlanta flight suffered the heavy turbulence just minutes before reaching Atlanta.
It was carrying 151 passengers and 14 crew members.
There has been no word on the extent of injuries.
“Our priority is taking care of customers and crew who sustained injuries. We are grateful for the first responders,” a Delta spokesperson said.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
The Airbus A350 landed safely at Atlanta.
It happened during thunderstorms in the Atlanta area.
