Delta planes in tarmac collision
An investigation is underway following a tarmac collision between two planes at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International.
A Delta Air Lines Airbus A350, which was prepping for takeoff to Tokyo, struck the tail of an Endeavor Air Bombardier CRJ900.
The two planes were on alternate taxiways.
Endeavor Air is a Delta regional subsidiary.
The Endeavor flight was bound for Lafayette, Louisiana.
Delta said 221 passengers were aboard the Tokyo-bound flight and there were 56 people on the Lafayette flight.
No injuries were reported.
Delta said passengers were re-accommodated on alternate flights while the aircraft were checked over for damage.
An airport spokesperson said there was only minimal disruption to airport operations and the FAA is investigating the incident.
