Departures at Kuoni after management reshuffle
Joanna Edmunds is to leave Kuoni as part of a management reorganisation.
She was with Kuoni for five years as UK managing director and, since 2011, as senior vice president of procurement and production for outbound Europe.
The group said the decision was made because Kuoni no longer operates in five European countries, which means it doesn’t need a centralised operation. It has recently shut down operations in Spain, Italy, Benelux, Russia and France.
"Kuoni wishes her well and thanks her for her strong leadership and direction," said a spokesman.
Meanwhile, Derek Jones, managing director UK, takes on additional responsibility for the specialist brands, such as Kirker Holidays, Carrier, Voyages Jules Verne, CV Travel and Journeys of Distinction, whilst remaining MD of the Kuoni UK tour operation.
The specialist brands will continue to be operationally managed by Francis Torrilla, who will now report to Jones instead of reporting to Stefan Leser, who was CEO Emerging Markets Specialists.
Andrew Pozniak, formerly head of online/mobile at the Kuoni Outbound Europe Division, will join the Kuoni UK Leadership Team as VP sales and marketing.
Kuoni said he will be responsible for "shaping the strategic approach to sales and marketing in a world where technology and mobile communication channels are providing exciting and dynamic ways to build deeper relationships with customers".
Helen Roberts, head of B2C sales, and Amanda Darrington, head of B2B sales, will both report to Pozniak, as will head of marketing Naomi Wilkinson.
Matt Rooke, E-business and Publishing VP is leaving. "He has decided to take this opportunity to seek new challenges outside Kuoni and left at the end of May," said a Kuoni spokesman.
Wendy Kenneally, who has been at Kuoni for 24 years, will join the Kuoni UK Leadership Team as VP purchasing and customer experience.
Darren Grahame-Betts, previously head of sales and operations, becomes head of customer experience and will report to Wendy.
Mark Duguid, VP product and commercial, continues in his current role.
Kuoni said a small number of other roles had been eliminated, but where possible the operator has tried to find alternative positions for those affected.
