DFDS offers lifeline to strike-hit air passengers
Ferry operator DFDS Seaways still has space on some crossings today for air passengers whose flights have been cancelled due to the national strike in France.
The company said its Dover to Dunkirk sailings are operating normally, but it urged passengers to leave more time to get to and from the port in Dunkirk.
Some lorry drivers have joined the strike in France, which has caused slow moving traffic across the nation’s roads.
DFDS is the only ferry operator to sail into Dunkirk so the company said the port was less congested today than Calais, the busiest French port.
