Differing fortunes for airline shares

Tuesday, 04 Aug, 2004 0

The FTSE 100 index gained 14 points to close at 4429.7, while the FTSE 250 had a similar session, adding 8.9 points to end the day at 6026.6.

British Airways rebounded after a poor showing on Monday, adding 4.75p to close at 229p; Ryanair, by way of contrast, dropped 5.25p to 285.75p on concerns that high oil prices could hit profits.
