Direct Travel acquiring San Francisco based S.R. Travel Service
Major travel management company Direct Travel, Inc has announced the purchase of San Francisco based S.R. Travel Service.
Vituoso member S.R. Travel has been in operation for more than 45 years serving Fortune 500 corporations, mid-sized companies, and independent entrepreneurs.
"Direct Travel’s acquisition of leading travel management companies – like S.R. Travel – is indicative of our uncompromising commitment to serving our clients in a local/regional environment while allowing us to provide premiere services and stay close to our customers," said Ed Adams, CEO of Direct Travel.
"This acquisition is an impressive addition to our organization, supports our growth strategy, and provides further opportunity for the investment in strategic business practices across our enterprise," Adams added.
Direct travel generates about $4 billion in sales annually with offices in over 60 locations.
"I’ve come to learn that there isn’t another organization as unique as Direct. Everything is accomplished smoothly and without fanfare. Their depth of experience is reflected in everything from the smallest detail to the most difficult and complicated negotiation," said Jessica Lewin, CEO of S.R. Travel.
Earlier this year Denver-based Direct Travel expanded into Canada with a merger with Canada’s largest independent travel management company Vision Travel.
It has also made several acquisitions in recent years including Georgia International Travel, Traveline Travel Services in Cleveland and MacNair Travel in Virginia.
