Discounted cruises for ‘people who don’t do cruises’
Ocean Village is trying to boost bookings by discounting its brochure prices.
The operator, which says it offers, “cruises for people who don’t do cruises”; is claiming to have cut its full brochure prices on Mediterranean holidays by up to 50 percent.
A two-week “stay and cruise” holiday, which is a week on land and a week on sea, now costs from £514 per person. Bookings must be made by 28 February and prices are based on two people sharing a cabin.
Ocean Village’s concept suggests the brand is aimed at younger holidaymakers – “a heady mix of on board and on shore activities without any of the pomp and formality of conventional cruising”.
