Disney Cruise Line to offer UK summer sailings
Disney Cruise Line has confirmed it is diving into the crowded UK domestic cruise market this summer.
Joining several other major cruise brands, DCL will offer short ‘seacation’ cruises around the UK.
The Disney Magic at Sea sailings will comprise two- and three-night cruises, and some four-night sailings from Tilbury, Newcastle, Liverpool and Southampton.
Guests will remain on the Disney Magic throughout the voyage.
"Our teams are bringing tremendous ingenuity and fun to these new cruises, tailoring them with care to the times we are living in, yet filling them with everything you’d expect from Disney," Disney Cruise Line President Thomas Mazloum said.
The cruises are for UK residents only and further details will be shared soon.
Reservations are expected to go live next month.
Disney is implementing enhanced health and safety measures following guidance from the UK government and health authorities such as Covid-19 testing, health screenings, the wearing of face coverings and limited guest capacity.
Although Covid testing will be required, it hasn’t ruled out mandating vaccinations for guests like some other cruise lines have done.
