Displaying “Every Hotel on Earth”

Kayak.com says it has become the first meta-search site to work with hotel information providers.

The site said it reached agreements with hotel information providers Pegasus Solutions and Otedis to supply real-time rates and availability on Kayak.com directly from the Web sites of more than 100,000 hotels.

“These groundbreaking agreements mark the first time a travel search engine has integrated results from hotel information providers that enable thousands of hotels to appear in travel search results,” said the company in a press release.

The agreement will allow users to access thousands of hotels not found on other online travel sites, according to Steve Hafner, Kayak.com CEO.

Kayak.com says its “Every Hotel on Earth” is a goal to display all 300,000 hotels everywhere.

Since its October launch, Kayak.com has added more than 18,000 hotels and currently has more than 103,000 hotels in its database.
