Disruption at Austin Airport after short FAA ground stop
The FAA said flight operations at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport are getting back to normal after a brief ground stop was imposed.
The Monday morning ground stop affected mostly inbound arrivals.
It caused communication issues between traffic controllers and incoming aircraft.
There was some minor disruption for departing flights, the airport said.
It was caused by an unspecified telecommunications issue and only impacted Austin-Bergstrom operations.
Inbound flights were rerouted to other airports including Houston and Dallas, the FAA said.
The agency said passengers should still check the status of their flight with the airline while operations get back to normal.
The ground stop lasted about one hour.
