Dnata Travel confirms changes to senior management team
Dnata Travel has confirmed its CEO B2B Europe, John Bevan, will take on an interim expanded role at the company following the departure of Andy Washington.
Washington, who was appointed CEO B2C Europe in November 2016, is leaving due to personal reasons, Dnata said.
He has been leading Dnata Travel Europe’s consumer-facing brands, including Travel Republic, Travelbag, Sunmaster and Netflights.
In the interim, Bevan’s role will be expanded to ‘assume responsibility for all of Dnata Travel Europe’s business-to-business and business-to-consumer trading brands in the UK’ Dnata said in a statement.
The statement added: "Mr Bevan’s extensive experience in leading consumer businesses will ensure continued customer satisfaction during the transition period."
In addition, Steve Barrass, senior vice president New Ventures Europe, will leave the company on July 31 to ‘pursue other opportunities’.
Dnata said: "A member of Dnata Travel’s executive team since 2014, Mr Barrass played a key role in the acquisition of the Gold Medal Travel Group and headed Dnata Travel’s supplier relations division.
"More recently, Mr Barrass has been leading The Global Travel Group, Triton Rooms and the newly-created New Ventures Europe division of Dnata Travel."
