Domestic operator Grand UK Hotels has acquired the Grade-II listed Daunceys Hotel in Weston-super-Mare.
The 73-room hotel becomes the 10th in the company’s growing portfolio of properties.
The hotel was on the market for £1.65 million.
The deal came as parent company UK Holiday Group reported a pre-tax profit of £2.15 million in the year to October 31, 2009 – up from £1.56 million in the previous 12 months.
The UK Holiday Group also coach tours specialist Glenton Holidays and groups operator ‘just for groups!’.
Group managing director Paul Bennett said: “We are delighted to welcome Daunceys to our chain. It is an excellent acquisition and is well known as one of Weston’s finest hotels.”
