Dreamworld water ride is to be demolished after deaths
The water ride which killed four people in Australia last month will be demolished.
The owners of the Dreamworld theme park, which remains closed following the tragic incident, said it was ‘the only respectful and appropriate course of action’.
Kate Goodchild, 32, died alongside her brother Luke Dorsett, 35, his partner, Roozbeh Araghi, 38, and Cindy Low, 42.
Two of them were thrown from a raft at the Thunder River Rapids ride while the others were trapped inside.
Dreamworld is doing safety checks on all of its rides and said it was moving towards a re-opening.
It also indicated that the victims’ families would be invited to help create a ‘fitting and permanent’ memorial.
