Dusit International to manage new five-star hotel in Cebu
Thai hospitality group Dusit International will open a new five-star beach resort in the Philippines.
It signed a hotel management agreement with real estate firm Robinsons Land Corporation to operate the Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu.
The hotel is slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The resort will feature 271 rooms across three buildings, along with a luxury spa and fitness centre, three restaurants and an infinity pool.
Dusit Thani Mactan Cebu becomes the third destination in the Philippines for the brand after Manila and the soon to open Dusit Thani Residence Davao.
"Mactan Island has the potential to become an even greater tourism destination, and there’s no better way to fuel that growth than by partnering with an international five-star hotel operator such as Dusit International," said Frederick D. Go, president of Robinsons Land Corporation.
Dusit International has already announced plans for DusitPrincess Cebu City.
It also operates the Dusit Devarana and dusitD2 brands and currently has 29 properties with an additional 51 slated to open within the next three years.
