Dusit signs new India property
Thai hotel chain Dusit International has announced the signing of a new property in India.
It signed a franchise agreement with Jain Group to introduce Dusit Princess Serviced Suites in Kolkata.
It is part of a luxury residential development and will feature 42 three-bedroom units, along with a swimming pool, all-day dining and a speciality restaurant, a fitness and wellness centre, and meeting space.
"In the new normal following Covid-19, Indian travellers will be increasingly seeking brands they can trust to deliver the high levels of safety, comfort and convenience they deserve," said Shrayans Jain, Vice President of Jain Group.
Dusit says it is in talks with other potential owners to open more hotels across India and expects to confirm four more signings within the next year.
It expects to open at least two branded hotels across India each year starting from 2021.
"We now look forward to bringing more quality products to the market to generate long-term value for all our stakeholders," said Suphajee Suthumpun, Group CEO, Dusit International.
The Dusit portfolio consists of over 300 properties under six brands in 13 countries.
