Dusit to debut in Vietnam with Phu Quoc hotel
Thailand-based global hospitality firm Dusit International will make its Vietnam debut later this year.
The Dusit Princess Moonrise Beach Resort on the island hotspot Phu Quoc opens in December.
The new build has 108 rooms overlooking popular Bai Truong beach.
It also features a restaurant, spa, swimming pool, a lounge and pool bar, conference room and a kids’ zone.
"Phu Quoc’s growing reputation as a major tourist destination is only set to flourish over the next ten years as many high-end developments are slated to open on the island," said Suphajee Suthumpun, group chief executive officer of Dusit International.
"Following our strategy for sustainable and profitable growth, which includes building our portfolio of international properties, the new hotel will open under our newly developed franchise model, which helps property owners gain maximum returns.
Phu Quoc is one of the fastest growing destinations in Southeast Asia and has already attracted a number of major hospitality brands.
An upgrade of the island’s airport is underway which will allow it to handle about four million passengers a year.
