Dutch tourism and ferry booking site link up

Holland.com has teamed up with ferry comparison site, Direct Ferries, to drive business through its tourist website.

In addition to creating a new revenue stream for the Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions, the deal with Direct Ferries offers visitors to Holland.com access to ferry deals.

With all routes available from the UK, including Harwich to Hook of Holland, Hull to Rotterdam, Newcastle to Amsterdam, Dover to Calais and Dover to Dunkirk, visitors to the site can see all ferry options and prices in one go.

Andrew Crowe said: "The Netherlands Board of Tourism and Conventions is very forward thinking in its approach, looking at ways to create revenue as well as providing fantastic information to the customer when they are planning their visit to Holland.

"Working with us allows them to generate income when visitors to their site book ferry crossings.  It is surprising how few tourist boards offer this and it is certainly an area that we see growing in the future."
