‘Dynamite’ system to meet explosion in dynamic packaging
The Vertical Group has developed a dynamic packaging system which claims to enable agents to meet the growth in individual packaging of holidays.
The Dynamite system allows agents to obtain competitive prices and generate increased margins for their businesses, according to the travel technology company.
Agents are charged £15 per user for the system but the company is offering it on a free six month trial. Existing users of the TARSC back-office system will be able to automatically download booking information from the dynamic packaging system into their accounting system.
Agents key holiday needs into a search engine, which then automatically pulls together all the requirements including flight, hotel, car-hire and transfers. The system searches across a range of flights, hotels and other holiday components to return the best available rates.
The technology brings back a fully costed package for agency staff to offer to the customer. Agency owners or managers remain in control of the final selling price as the gross margin can be set in advance, according to Vertical Group.
Dynamite can be used as a desk-top reservation tool in an agency or integrated into a website.
Vertical Group chief executive Peter Healey said: “It combines the breadth of product with competitive pricing while still allowing agents to increase margins and stay in control.”
