Early boost for Snowy Mountains
Tourism Snowy Mountains is anticipating a strong start to Australia’s ski season following impressive snowfalls in the ski region this week.
Snowy Mountains’ ski season typically kicks off in early June but the destination has already experienced significant snowfall for the past week, recording up to 20cm of snow.
Peter Sheppard, CEO Tourism Snowy Mountains, said: "We have received a good covering of snow at all our resorts in the region and we’re hopeful that our slopes will be in great condition for skiing and boarding when the season opens on June 8.
