Early snow boosts airport ‘meet and greet’ demand
Meteor meet and greet parking has claimed a record number of bookings for the pre-Christmas period, thanks to Europe’s ski slopes opening early this winter.
The company has managed parking facilities at Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham.
Sales and marketing director Steve Waller said: ‘The weather conditions have led to an improvement in early season bookings as many ski enthusiasts have seen the snow and decided to hit the slopes sooner and book before Christmas to make the most of the superb conditions.
“In terms of bookings, we have seen a 58% increase compared to last year, some of which is thanks to the early snowfall and is also due to an increase in awareness of meet and greet parking as a perfect add-on for travel agents to sell to skiers.”
