Eastern Airways adds more flights
Flights from Leeds Bradford Airport to Aberdeen are being increased by Eastern Airways with new improved timings also being introduced to the route.
From 22 April, Eastern Airways will increase services from 22 to 26 a week, with up to three flights operating in each direction on Mondays and Thursdays.
Morning flights from Leeds Bradford will depart at 07:00 arriving in Aberdeen at 08:10, while morning flights will leave Aberdeen at 08:40 landing at 09.50 at Leeds Bradford.
There will also be a teatime 17:35 departure from Leeds Bradford and a 19:15 service from Aberdeen.
Humberside-based Eastern Airways has been operating the scheduled route from Leeds Bradford since 2003 to meet the needs of business travellers, including offshore workers and those in the finance, manufacturing and engineering industry sectors.
Eastern Airways’ commercial director Kay Ryan said: "We’re providing more flights each week between Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen to suit the requirements of business commuters travelling between Yorkshire and North East Scotland. "
Tony Hallwood, Leeds Bradford Airport’s commercial and aviation development director, said: "We are delighted that the improved schedule offers convenient business-friendly flights for commuters between Leeds Bradford and Aberdeen.
"We hope this will help enhance the existing strong trade links that have grown between West Yorkshire’s engineering and manufacturing sectors and Aberdeen which is commonly regarded as the Energy Capital of Europe."
