easyJet launches 13 winter routes across UK network

easyJet has unveiled a major expansion of its UK winter programme, introducing 13 new routes from eight airports, strengthening connectivity to key European cities, Nordic destinations, and North Africa.

The airline’s latest rollout includes new services from London Luton, London Southend, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Newquay, offering a mix of city breaks, winter sun escapes and ski destinations.

From London Luton, new routes will launch to Kittilä and Strasbourg. The Kittilä service begins on 24 November, operating twice weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays, while Strasbourg starts on 29 November with four weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

London Southend gains a new link to Edinburgh starting 25 October, operating twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays, improving access between London and Scotland’s capital.

Rise of Newcastle

Birmingham will see new flights to Copenhagen from 16 November, running twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays, aimed at short European breaks.

Manchester is set to gain a new long-haul winter route to Cairo starting 9 November, operating twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. easyJet will be the only carrier offering a direct service from Manchester to Sphinx International Airport, providing access to the Pyramids of Giza and western Cairo.

Liverpool expands with two Nordic additions. Flights to Reykjavik begin 2 November, operating Mondays and Fridays, while Kittilä services start 25 November, operating Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Newcastle is the standout growth base, adding five new routes and bringing its total network to 31 destinations. This marks a fourfold increase since the base launched in March 2026.

Newcastle’s new services include Barcelona (from 25 October, twice weekly Fridays and Sundays); Hurghada (from 27 October, twice weekly Tuesdays and Saturdays); Copenhagen (from 5 November, twice weekly Thursdays and Sundays); Berlin (from 20 November, twice weekly Mondays and Fridays) and Rovaniemi (from 25 November, twice weekly Wednesdays and Sundays).

Newquay will also gain its first international route with a seasonal service to Geneva starting 16 January 2027, operating once weekly on Saturdays through 27 February 2027. It will be the only direct connection between Cornwall and Switzerland during the winter season.

easyJet holidays packages are available across all new routes except Kittilä and Rovaniemi. Packages include flights, accommodation, 23kg luggage, and transfers on Cairo and Hurghada trips.

Kevin Doyle, easyJet’s UK Country Manager, said the expansion reflects strong demand for regional connectivity and winter travel options. “We are delighted to announce 13 new routes and thousands more package holidays now available from eight airports across the UK this winter, providing customers with even more choice from their local airport, all with great value and fantastic service. We are committed to providing our customers across the UK with greater regional connectivity as well as supporting inbound tourism.”

The airline also highlighted its “Book with Confidence” promise, stating that prices will not increase after booking and confirming its intention to maintain a full network schedule despite broader industry route reductions.
