EasyJet announces Board changes
EasyJet has announced that Julie Southern will succeed Charles Gurassa as Senior Independent Director with immediate effect.
Charles will continue as the Deputy Chairman until the end of this year, when he steps down from the Board.
He acquired almost £500,000 of shares in the airline yesterday, when easyJet announced that it now expects to fly at about 40% of capacity during the fourth quarter, up from the 30% previously anticipated.
Charles is also chair of Channel 4 and will take over as chair of the charity Oxfam GB in October, shortly before leaving easyJet.
In other changes at the airline, Moni Mannings will join the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director and member of the Remuneration Committee on 6 August. Julie will also become a member of the Nominations Committee on 31 August.
Catherine Bradley CBE will succeed Andy Martin as Chair of the Finance Committee and become a member of the Audit Committee and Nominations Committee with effect from 31 August, when Andy steps down from the Board.
At the same time, Nick Leeder will become a member of the Nominations Committee.
